GRANDSTAND - Weekly Sport News Roundup
Martin Gillingham managed to get an interview with legendary player Morg'n'Thorg. He is setting sail to Norsica to play two more games against Ulfnaerr Vikings and will then returning to stay at Leicesters own Blue Boar inn for more games. In his own words he said "I have been 'ired to play more games against those pansy Vikings and am also entertaining offers to smash those tree huggers from Sherwold Forest." The other legend visiting Leicester, Lewdgrip Whiparm, has been seen heading home to the Chaos Wastes with the Slaanesh Sirens. While Maimheart is still trying to bang the dent out of his helmet the mercenary Squidward has offered his services, in exchange for a bag of gold, during their game against Force of Nature.
We seem to have some confusion as to who is playing where this week with The Magnificent Bastards having sailed over the sea of Claws and landed at Londinium ready to play Wright's Wight Knights. Meanwhile the Fomorian Corsairs have landed at the Altdoft docks and have started to make the overland trip to Talabheim to play the Bastards? Our roving reporter Daniel Lambert has the full story! It seems that Cpt Hopkins found a way around getting executed if he lost a game by organising two of them to happen before the High Council will have time to process the paperwork for his execution. He has hired some of Alibion's Druids to teleport his team home after the first game ready to play a second the following day. I hope his players get enough time to rest before the dawn kick off of that match.
GRANDSTAND - Sports News at FIVE!
Thanks for tuning in Sports fans. We are almost at the end of Round Two of the Albion Grid Iron premiership known as Leicester Blood Bowl League just a couple of results to come in from some far flung matches. Lets have a look at how things stand after three weeks of Carnage!
Thanks to the Cowardly Custards, formally known as the Deathwing Verminators, concession the Ogre team Dymba Armadillos jump into the lead in the LBBL Mungk division with the Drow team Karond Kar Slavers snapping at there heels. I wonder if the Sewer Tails, the other Skaven team, can fair better than the Custards? They have skilled runners but a tough gauntlet ahead of them having to face the Slaanesh Sirens followed by the rat slaying Armadillos.
Over in the Roze-El division we have a plethora of draws that has left those rotten Fomorian Corsairs taking an early lead with a pair of two-nil victories over the Gladerunners and Crowhaven Wulves. There closely followed by Plague River Feabags the only Skaven team that is, so far, doing well having acheved a skilled 3-2 win over the same Gladerunners. At the bottom of the barrel we have The Magnificent Bastards who with two players killed in there first game against Ulfnaerr Vikings found the whole squad executed by there feudal lord! Hopefully the new players drafted will have a better performance in there next game.
Talking of the dead it has been a brutal start with eight players, including the veteran Drow Blitzer Krenendus Nales, killed on the pitch and another half dozen left with permanent injuries.
